Charlotte T. Kopec, nee Koldras, passed peacefully into eternal life on May 7, 2017 at the age of 101. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Kopec, in a marriage that lasted 60 years; the loving mother of the late R. Joseph Kopec (Rose) and Donald Kopec (Barbara); devoted and proud grandmother of Peter Kopec, Stephen (Becky) Kopec, John Kopec, Joseph Kopec, Antonia Kopec; dear great-grandmother of Gianna, Maria, Cecilia and Lucia Kopec; dearest sister of Edwin (late Pamela) Koldras, late Bernice (Casimir) Sysko, late Rose (Stanley) Stock, late Sally (Clarence) Stezowski, late Stanley Koldras, and late Albina (Edward) Bafia; fond aunt of many nieces and nephews. Charlotte was a devout Catholic and long-time parishioner of St. Monica Parish. As the first child of immigrants to this country, she was proud of her Polish heritage, and passed on many customs of this vibrant culture. She was a wonderful homemaker and superb cook, who thoroughly enjoyed entertaining family and friends; and had many interests, to include crocheting, quilting, needlework and travel. She considered her visits to Poland, France, Italy and especially Israel to be among the highlights of her life. She was a passionate gardener with a talent for growing beautiful flowers, had great success with African violets, and was active for many years in the Oriole Park Garden Club. Charlotte was a caring, kind-hearted and generous woman who enriched the lives of all who knew her with a legacy of beauty.
